Ayurveda believes that any problems that arose in the human body are the result of an imbalance among the three toxins in our body known as “Doshas” – kapha, Vaata and Pitta. Panchakarma includes of five basic types of advanced treatment, which balance the “doshas” in the body. Massage or Snehana is one of the branches of Panchakarma. It represents other Ayurvedic therapies like. Nasya or nasal administration of oils or medicated enemasemas, or vomiting with the help of herbs Virechana or purging through herbs, Swedana or fomentation/sweating, etc.
