“Firstly my therapist, Pav, explained the treatment to me. She asked me to wear the disposable underwear provided for the best results. A hair cap and ‘sticky feet’ must also be worn to make sure that no unexpected parts of your body get covered in tan. Often dry and tricky places of the body (elbows, ankles and knees) are then moisturised by your therapist to make sure there are no tell tale signs of your fake tan. Next, the tan is applied using a spray gun to get the most even coverage and golden glow. Here are PURE Spas top tips to tanning perfection”:

• Always wear baggy clothing after your tan. Restrictive clothing can affect the outcome of your tan
• Try and exfoliate for a few days before (if you have not chosen a tan with exfoliation). A body scrub (like REN Moroccan Rose Body Polish) and body brush are a perfect combination at removing dead skin cells  in preparation for the tan. If you body brush in a circular motion this also helps the removal of cellulite to make your legs look amazing during the summer!
• Try and sleep in your tan overnight to get the best colour result. Simply wash off in the shower the next morning and watch your golden colour emerge!
• Finally, try and book a special occasion/event/night out the day after your tan. You will love the complements and the photos will look fab with your bronzed colour!
