Few simple and important things about cellulite and how to get rid of it! Know your enemy first! So you think you know everything there is to know about the big bad wolf otherwise known as cellulite? In this post I would like to talk about several cellulite facts you probably didn’t know which I think you would all want to know.It has a genetic aspect: Yes indeed, there are some people who are more likely to get cellulite than others simply because their genes are not wired correctly, for lack of a better phrase. Yes, that’s right, you may be at a total disadvantage when ridding your thighs, legs, and bum of cellulite, compared to the next person, who is getting all of those nice compliments on their figure, simply due to their genetic inheritance. You and I both know they didn’t work for it, but, as my dad likes to say, “That’s tough.” I know it sounds a bit unfair (make that a lot unfair) but the good news is that you can work your way around this particular reality. Simply put, nobody is doomed to forever suffer with this unsightly affliction. It’s been around for a while: Cellulite is a not a new condition, our great grand parents and their great grand parents before them had to deal with this annoying condition as well. According to medical experts, there is proof of this in quite a number of paintings that date as far back as the 1600s. It might also be interesting to know that the French are the ones who came up with the term cellulite in the early 20th century. Most women have it: I’m pretty sure you know a few friends who suffer from cellulite. What you may not be aware of however are the statistics, which I have to say are quite astounding. Research shows that 8 out of 10 women who are beyond puberty suffer from cellulite. Yes you read that correctly, 8 out of 10! Obviously the severity of the condition varies from one person to another but the bottom line is that you are definitely not alone. The toxin factor: The more garbage you put in your body, the higher your risk of getting cellulite will be. So what exactly does ‘garbage’ mean in this case; toxins, that’s what. Let’s start with smoking. Every time you smoke a cigarette you inhale more than 4000 different chemicals all of which can cause havoc in your body, so just quit. Another habit that will significantly increase the toxin level in your body is drinking. Now I am not saying that you should quit booze altogether (although that too is an option) just try to keep your consumption at a minimal, it won’t kill you.Pesticides too will load your system with all manner of toxins so stay away from them. The problem is that most of the fresh produce we eat today is laden with these harmful chemicals but do not fret because the organic movement is really gathering steam. In other words you won’t have to go to too much trouble to find a grocery store that sells pesticide-free veggies and fruits. The other option is to grow your own fresh produce. It is not as difficult as you mightthink, in fact more and more people are doing it. Liposuction, not a good idea: If liposuction is one of the options you were considering for your cellulite problem then my advice is that you get it off the table because it is not viable. This is because the procedure was specifically designed to get rid of excess adipose tissue and not to flatten it out. Massage may help: Studies show that massage can help improve the appearance of cellulite. This is because the constant manipulation of muscle tissue improves lymphatic drainage. For the best results it is recommended that you find a qualified masseur who is specifically aware of the aforementioned fact. You will have to attend several sessions in order to get tangible results. Bear in mind that massage alone cannot completely eliminate cellulite Laser treatment: There is no doubt that laser technology has revolutionized quite a number of industries, ‘beauty and cosmetic’ being one of them. It’s no surprise then that one of the mosteffective conventional treatments for cellulite is laser therapy. Just like massage, you may be required to attend several treatment sessions in order to deal with the problem effectively. The good news however is that laser treatment produces more permanent results. It is can actually completely eliminate all traces of cellulite. The only catch is that it is not cheap. It doesn’t mean you are unhealthy: Just because you have cellulite it doesn’t necessarily mean you have an underlying health issue. The reality is that anybody can get cellulite because in essence it is a condition that’s determined by how a person’s body chooses to deal with fat deposits under the skin.
