Velashape II

What is VELASHAPE II?

DermaCare announces the arrival of the Optimal Cellulite Reduction and Body Contouring Device. A four-in-one treatment, Velashape™ II  is the first and only non-surgical FDA-cleared medical device for the Body Reshaping market using Circumferential Reduction. Velashape™ is also the first FDA class II cleared platform for Cellulite Treatment.

How does it work?

As we age, our imperfections turn into multi-layered problems. Velashape II™ with its combination of infrared and conducted RF (radio frequency) energies precisely heats the dermal and the hypodermal tissue within the target treatment area and reduces the size of the actual fat cells in the treated area. Vacuum and specially designed rollers for the Mechanical Massage smooth out the skin to facilitate safe and efficient heat energy delivery.

This combination of Radio frequency and infra-red light (elks™), aids in new collagen remodelling to tighten sagging and lax skin. Lymphatic drainage is also increased. The VelaShape II™ ensures a reduction in the circumference of the treated area and smoother appearance of the skin’s surface which in turn reduces the appearance of cellulite.

What VELASHAPE II can do for you?

  • Improvement of cellulite in the treated areas
  • Firmer and tighter skin surface
  • Improved circulation and relief from muscle aches and pains within the treated areas
  • Improved lymph drainage.
  • Patients report noticeable re-contouring of areas such as saddlebags and love handles
  • Increased self-confidence and better body image

*Important: Individual results may vary.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What happens during and after each treatment? How long does a session typically take?

During treatment, a light spray will be applied to the targeted area/s, you will feel suction and warmth from the VelaShapeII system and each targeted area will be treated thoroughly.

There may be some blush pink appearance to the treated skin areas for a short period of time and the skin’s surface may feel warm for several hours’ right after a session. No downtime is expected; patients can resume normal activities immediately.

Do these treatments hurt?

Most patients compare the sensation they feel with these treatments to an intense Deep Tissue heated massage or an intense workout. Some even shared that they feel rejuvenated after their treatment session. Since it is non-invasive, these solutions are virtually painless and safe.

How does cellulite treatment with Velashape II work? How does Velashape improve the appearance of cellulite?

Velashape II combines gentle light and radio frequency energies (the revolutionary elōs Technology) using mechanical rollers and vacuum suction for manipulation of the superficial fat tissue layer that contributes to cellulite. This targeted heat from the light and the elōs Technology increases metabolism of this fatty layer and thus shrinks the size of the fat cells.

Vacuum suction and specially designed rollers act on the blood vessels to increase circulation to the targeted area. This creates a massaging effect on the skin achieving a smoother, and less dimpled surface appearance.

The Velashape system also has a new applicator, which enables the treatment of smaller contoured areas such as the neck and arms.

What are the cellulite treatment areas?

Velashape helps contour and shape problem areas such as:

  • Inner & Outer Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Stomach and Abdomen areas (including Love Handles and Saddlebags)
  • Hips
  • Calves
  • Upper Arms
  • Breasts and Bra Line
  • Neck

How long does it take to see results from these treatments?

It is recommended for patients to commit to a treatment program of 6 sessions of two 30-60 minute sessions per week (depending on the size of the area to be treated) for at least 3-4 weeks. Improvements are seen after 5 or 6 sessions.

*Important: Results are unique for every individual.

How long do the VelaShape improvements last?

Optimal results are noticed at the end of your personalized full treatment program. With maintenance treatments, results are long term. If maintenance treatments are not continued, the results begin to fade after 6 to 8 weeks.

*Important: Results are unique for every individual.

Can these treatments help me lose weight?

No. However, since Velashape re-shapes and contours the body, many patients look slimmer and report that they feel slimmer as well. It is recommended to maintain a healthy lifestyle to achieve optimal and lasting results.

Can Velashape be combined with other treatments?

Yes, at Dermacare , Velashape is commonly performed with Endermology, Ultrashape, Lipolysis and Carboxytherapy treatments for best non-surgical results.

If you want to lose weight – combine the LipoSlim Medical Weightloss program with Velashape II , this will ensure that you reshape your contours, get rid of cellulite and tighten loose skin that can appear after rapid weight loss.
