Dr. Youn MD, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon appeared on the Rachael Ray Show and revealed a new treatment for cellulite that may get rid of cellulite for up to six months and maybe more!

Dr. Youn, a frequent guest on Rachael Ray, admits that there is no permanent cure for cellulite.  He said there are some treatments that may help if you keep up on them but they may only last for one or two months.

But he seemed very excited at the results of this new procedure.  He said the studies that they have been doing are showing that the results can last three to six months and even longer after they are done with the treatments!

Dr. Houn explains how this device uses shock waves to blast away the cellulite.  He says it increases circulation and improves collagen formation and stretches out those connective tissue bands that cause the dimpling in the cellulite.

It is in the FDA approval process so was not yet approved as of that airing. But it is approved for other therapeutic purposes but not for cellulite.

Dr. Houn seemed excited that studies showed that improvement was still visible and ongoing 6 months after treatment had stopped!
