DIY Cellulite Treatment —Coffee Scrub

 These 3 simple ingredients can be combined to make an at home cellulite treatment that can help diminish the look of cellulite in your problem areas over time. The coffee tightens and provides the skin with much needed antioxidants leaving skin with a healthy glowing appearance. The coconut oil is a great moisturizer and healer of the skin due it containing Vitamin E.

Very easy to make and you can save money with this scrub by repurposing the coffee grounds that you have when you make your next pot of coffee instead of throwing the grounds away!!!! I use this scrub every other day but can be used daily based on your needs.

Ingredients

1 cup Coffee Grounds

6 tbsp coconut oil

3 tbsp sea salt or sugar (this is your preference depending on how coarse you want your scrub to be, Salt tends to have a coarser feel to it)

Empty Jar

Dry Brush (Optional)

Procedure

Step 1:                  Measure out dry ingredients and combine in a large measuring cup or bowl

Step 2:                  Melt the coconut oil in the microwave if solid, and add to the mixture

Step 3:                  Mix well

Step 4:                  Transfer mixture to a waterproof jar or container

Step 5:                   Your Dry Brush is an optional step that can be used in this process. Use the brush before the scrub on dry skin. Brush in an upward motion (brush toward the heart) for best results. This is an added exfoliation (I tend to use this in winter months when my skin is at its driest). This helps decongest and unclog your pores so that more moisturizers can absorb into your skin.

Step 6:                  In the shower apply your scrub to areas with cellulite. Massage in circular motion before rinsing.
