The Program for Music, Mind and Society at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, in Nashville, TN, will offer a workshop on treatment designs for music research on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Interested researchers, students, and clinicians are invited to attend our inaugural Treatment Designs for Music Research Workshop. The workshop will bring together treatment researchers from musical and non-musical fields to enhance the methodology, design, and funding applications for incorporating music in treatment studies for language, social, cognitive, emotional, and motor outcomes.

The workshop will include presentations by featured NIH-funded treatment researchers and members of NIH review committees. Topics will include gold-standard designs for conducting treatment research, anticipating and addressing common potential pitfalls for treatment research in the real world, applying for funding, and forming partnerships with community organizations. The workshop will provide an opportunity for fostering connections and collaborations between treatment researchers.

Abstract Submission: The abstract submission period is now closed. For questions regarding abstracts, please contact Miriam Lense at .    *Please note that individuals do not need to submit an abstract to attend the workshop. All attendees can participate in the round-table discussions to discuss their treatment research designs.
