A much welcomed heat has finally hit California, and it’s time for me to take shorts and dresses out of the closet – along with a generous dose of willpower to get in shape again after the cold and festive season. I’ll be reviewing today the Skin QR .
I usually start using cellulite creams around April/June, but this year, being in California, I had to start earlier because it’s almost bikini time here! The NuElle anti-cellulite cream has everything that I look for in this type of product: it is natural, it has good active ingredients, and it is easy to use as a massage cream.
I’m telling you, girls who want to get rid of nasty cellulite: you won’t get away with just a swipe of miracle cream on your thighs. You gotta work it hard, applying products – any products – with vigorous and circular motions. Cellulite does go away, because it’s just water retention that can me “melted” away with your hands. Certain ingredients (like caffeine) help with the process, but there is no way you can achieve good results by just applying a cream like you would do on your face.
The contains ingredients that are proved to help reduce water retention, and I can report good results on myself. Take a look at the ingredient list to see how many active, herbal ingredients there are.
Purified Water, Organic Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe), Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower Oil), Glyceryl Stearate, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Octyl Palmitate, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Butter), Cetyl Alcohol, Potassium Stearate, Organic Beeswax, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Essential Oil, Pinus Pinaster (Pine Essential Oil), CoQ10, Betula Alba (Birch) Essential Oil, Agathosma Betulina (Buchu) Essential Oil, Algae Extract, Pullulan, Hibiscus Sabdariffa (Hibiscus) Flower Extract, Ruscus Accileatus (Butcher’s Broom), Coffea Arabica (Caffeine), Organic Cola Nitida (Kola Nut), Organic Capsicum Annuum var. Aannuum (Cayenne), Organic Juniperus Communis (Juniper), Hedera Helix (Ivy) Extract, L’Carnitine, Organic Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwack), Organic Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail), Organic Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut), Organic Cinnamomum Aromaticum (Cinnamon), Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen Essential Oil), Organic Uncaria Tomentosa (Cat’s Claw), Organic Ginkgo Biloba (Ginkgo), Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola), Caviar Extract, Cymbopogan Flexuosus (Lemongrass Essential Oil), Organic Joeniculum Vulgare (Fennel), Pelargonium Gravolens (Geranium Essential Oil), Seaweed Extract (Algae), Macrocystis Pyrifera (Kelp), Helichrysum Italicum (Helichrysum Essential Oil), Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Calophyllum Tacamahaca (Tamanu Oil), Organic Borago Officinalis (Borage Oil), Organic Linum Usitatissimum (Flax Seed Oil), Organic Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose Oil), Organic Rosa Canina (Rose Hip Oil), Allantoin, Organic Arnica Montana (Arnica) flower extract, Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Organic Calendula Officinalis (Calendula), Organic Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed) Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia Nut Oil), Sodium Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.
As I said, whenever I use the cream I take my time to massage the area (I use it on my thighs). It takes about ten minutes per each thigh for one pump of the cream to absorb – which is great because I hate having to re-apply products over and over because they get absorbed too quickly. It might seem a lot of time, but if you do it during your relax time, while you watch TV or wait for the pasta water to boil, it’s not a big deal really. The cream leaves the skin toned and firm as well as hydrated. The good thing about the is that you get the long terms benefits that a good cellulite cream provides (paired with massages) as well as an immediate firming feeling: a great combination for those who want to improve the general appearance of cellulite-affected areas.
My final opinion on this cream, after using it for 4 weeks, is that it works very well on my soft cellulite: it reduced the so-called “orange-peel” appearance and it made the skin firmer. Again, make sure to use it as a massage cream, and take your time to work that nasty water retention out. You’ll thank me when the bikini season comes.

Have a great day!
