BERNARDSVILLE, N.J. — A 2.7-magnitude earthquake shook parts of northern New Jersey Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor's epicenter was located about 1.8 miles north of Bernardsville. It struck about 3:41 a.m. Friday, the agency said.
Many New Jersey residents on social media said they woke up because of the underground blast.
One user said the quake shook for about 10 to 15 seconds.
No major damage has been reported.
