Straub Medical AG is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices. The company’s Mechanical Atherothrombectomy Endovascular System with the two product lines Rotarex® and Aspirex® have been designed for safe, rapid and cost-effective removal of atherothrombotic material from occluded blood vessels. The system first received CE-mark in 1999. A significantly improved version of both catheter’s families was launched in 2010 – the Rotarex®S and Aspirex®S. After receiving CE class III approval in early 2011, the catheters can now be used in all blood vessels outside the cardio-pulmonary, coronary and cerebral circulations.
