Lancy is a Canadian born Chinese who is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. She grew up on Vancouver Island where she attended the University of Victoria. At UVIC she studied psychology as well as Chinese Literature. She is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who used acupuncture, Chinese herbs, cupping and other modalities to treat her patients. She has also mastered unique and special techniques of cosmetic acupuncture to relieve wrinkles, fine lines, enhance collagen production and improve overall complexion and tone of skin as well as cellulite cupping to reduce and eliminate cellulite and stretch marks. She decided to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) instead of furthering her studies in Psychology or Chinese literature because she believes that TCM is the best integration of psychology, culture and medicine. She points out that in TCM, a patientÃs emotions are considered one of the main causes of internal diseases, while ancientmedical texts reveal the importance of life cultivation to promote health and longevity. With her background in psychology, she has a keen interest in treating patients with insomnia, stress, anxiety, addictions and other psychological disorders. Lancy believes that TCM and conventional Western medicine can work hand in hand to bring about a healthcare system where patients get the most effective treatment.
