How To Get Rid Of Cellulite Etymology

While researching other cellulite reducing options, I found another promising product. .  Initially, I was a bit skeptical, however the consumer reviews are extremely positive.  First, let me say I was not able to find any actual proof from medical experts that massage provides any long-term cellulite reducing results.  However, most agree there is evidence that massage does reduce the appearance of cellulite on a short-term basis.

First, What is Cellulite?

According to Dr. Debra Jaliman, one of the top dermatologists in the nation, “Cellulite is fat that has fibrous bands pulling down on the it which gives the skin a dimpling/orange peel-like appearance.” Cellulite is mostly seen in women because of a hormone uniquely found only in women, which causes the herniation of fat within fibrous connective tissues resulting in the dimpled skin appearance of cellulite.Cellulite is composed of water, toxins and fatty tissue cells that build up under layers of skin and cause pressure on the connective tissues of muscles.

A leading dermatologist based in NY, Dr. David E. Bank, provides better insight to contributing factors which lead to cellulite. According to him, cellulite can be “genetically related, in that it’s due to gender, race, slow metabolism, distribution of fat, and circulatory insufficiency. There are also hormonal factors, such as estrogen levels, degrees of insulin, issues with thyroid hormones, and prolactin cell[s] that can contribute to the process of cellulite production.” He also states that cellulite can form as a result of diet and lifestyle choices and “the unfortunate result of simply aging.”

Whether you really wanted to know what it is or not, you probably want to know what helps get rid of cellulite. That’s why you’re here, right? Is there a cure for cellulite? How about home remedies for cellulite?

Our Newest Review

Our newest review is going to be the Bliss Fatgirlslim Lean Machine contour system. This is available at Amazon.com for $145.00. Also at Drugstore.com for the same price. Product Description

(Provided by Supplier)

A spa-inspired body contouring system that combines a massager with a firming cream to visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Benefits:

Helps visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite; assists in smoothing and firming the skin.

How It Works (Their Claims)

Achieve a smoother, sleeker-looking silhouette with this powerful duo inspired by the spa. The first power tool in the Fatgirlslim family, this vacuum massager pairs with a clinically proven skin cream to visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite and give legs, buttocks, and abs a more contoured look.

What it Promises

According to Bliss, the Fatgirlslim Lean Machine visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite and gives legs, buttocks and abs a more contoured look. The set contains a Lean Machine, power adapter and a 2-ounce jar of Fatgirlslim skin-firming lotion.

Bliss says the device combats cellulite in four ways: Lifting function stimulates skin and gently guides it into the vacuum unit. Adjustable vacuum setting creates a deeply penetrating massage that encourages circulation. Rear roller gently smooths out the skin. Pulsing action creates repetitive motion to intensify the massaging effect. To use, follow these steps: Apply a thin layer of Fatgirlslim lotion to the desired treatment area. Get into a comfortable position for your massage treatment. Turn the suction strength dial to a low setting and switch the device to position 1. Start moving the device in a circular motion over legs or stomach to promote circulation.

Does it Work?

We’ll see. I am mostly concerned with getting rid of cellulite on my legs. These are pics taken before the first use. For reference, I am fifty years old,135 lbs and I’m 5’7″. Obviously, results will vary. I will post updated pictures at four weeks if not before. Of course, I will be updating posts regularly.

Update:

It’s been a little over four weeks and I haven’t seen great results. I do believe I am seeing limited results, and my skin seems to be tightening some, so we’ll keep it up and update as appropriate.  No “after” pictures yet because there isn’t that much difference. The manufacturer doesn’t really say how long it should take to see noticeable results as some products do. Although they do say you should “feel” it working right away. Some reviewers have said they saw significant results after eight weeks or so. I will keep using as instructed and update as needed.

Update:

It’s been five months now (09/15/2015) and I think i am seeing results. It has taken a while but I see positive change. Check before and after photos above. Also updating rating to 4.0 out of 5.0

Please leave comments or questions and I will get back to you.

Thanks.
