Advanced Thermography of South Florida Our mission is to empower others achieve optimal health through prevention and early detection.
Breast Thermography   At Advanced Thermography of South Florida, we take a holistic approach toward your present and future health. Using the patented and FDA approved Meditherm Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) technology; we seek “biological markers” and “Risk indicators” revealed in the 7 to 20-plus views in the Breast and Full Body Scans. These procedures are completely safe because no radiation is used to acquire the images. Thermography is non-invasive and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, requires no physical contact or fluids to drink, and the patterns seen are compared to standards set by Johns Hopkins University. Thermography of the breast can detect abnormalities from 8-10 years before mammography can detect a mass. Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, DITI, is a non-invasive test of physiology. It is a valuable procedure for alerting a doctor to changes that can indicate early stages of breast disease than has been possible through breast self examination, doctor exam, or mammography alone. Women across South Florida can benefit from DITI breast screening. However, it is especially appropriate for younger women (30-50) whose denser breast tissue makes it more difficult for mammography to be effective. Also for women of all ages who may have breast implants or for many other reasons, are unable to undergo routine mammography. This test can provide a “clinical marker” to the doctor or mammographer that a specific area of the breast needs particularly close examination. It takes years for a tumor to grow, thus the earliest possible indication of abnormality is needed to allow for the earliest possible treatment and intervention. DITI’s role in monitoring breast health is to help in early detection and monitoring abnormal physiology. (See chart below) Advanced Thermography of South Florida provides breast thermography services to all of South Florida, including Miami, Homestead,  Fort Lauderdale, Cooper City, and Delray Beach.

What to expect on your visit? The test starts with your medical history being taken by a Certified Clinical Thermographer.  You will then partially disrobe the region being scanned.  After the scanning is complete, the technician will review (not interpret) the images taken.  Your information is then uploaded through a secure server and assigned to a medical doctor for final interpretation.  This process is similar to sending your x-rays to a radiologist for interpretation. Once we receive the report, we then forward a copy directly to you and any other physicians requested.  Your images are then archived for 7 years. It is used as an aid for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as monitoring therapy progress, for conditions and injuries, including: Back Injuries, Breast Disease, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Disc Disease, Inflammatory, Pain, Sprain / Strain, Stroke Screening, Whiplash, Digestive Disorders, Arthritis, Headache, Nerve Damage, Fibromyalgia, RSD, (CRPS), Dental, TMJ, ArteryInflammation and Vascular Disease. X-Ray, C.T., Ultrasound and M.R.I are all tests of  ‘anatomy’ that measure the structures of your body whereas thermography is unique in its capability to show the physiological change and metabolic processes occuring in the body. Although many people associate Thermography as a breast screening, images can be taken of the entire body or just regions of interest.
