I choose the title, THE HEART OF FINANCIAL MATTERS, SEEKING A SERVANT’S HEART, due to a couple reasons.
As you read the book, you should find two themes emphasized in the manuscript. One theme, of course, deals with the financial aspect of life and what we can do to master our finances instead of becoming a slave to our money. I tried to write about the “heart” of finances and that there are several financial principles we should observe to build a secure financial future.
The other topic covered in the book deals with the condition of the “heart” from a spiritual point of view. God wants our heart before he wants our money, tithes, offerings or other gifts we may offer Him. I believe you must get your heart right before you can truly get your pocketbook or checkbook right. God doesn’t want or need our money, He wants our heart. When that happens, all other areas of our life will fall into place, in accordance with God’s will. That is when we will have the heart of a servant and money will have it’s proper place in our life.
