Oops, now that is extravagance!! We’re talking about famous talk-show host Oprah Winfrey’s “The Promised Land”, a 42-acre estate with ocean and mountain views in Montecito, California. This 23,000 square feet home was bought for $52 million in 2001, and reportedly it wasn’t even officially on the market when Oprah offered to buy it.

You can easily observe Winfrey’s fetish for check prints here. Both in the resting room and the bedroom, the checks have been used in various color combinations along with paintings as an add-on. Whereas, the fireplace has the sweet old vintage charm attached to it.

The home has been modeled to fit her lifestyle, including a closet for boyfriend Stedman Graham’s suits which is as huge as a master bedroom. Outside, it has a tea garden, which was featured in an issue of O Magazine. Quite H.S. you see!

The best view of this mansion is perhaps from the air. A personal touch has been added to every corner of the mansion elaborating Oprah’s live-life-queen-size aura.  The bathroom has hints of floral feel, complimented with trendy bath accessories. The library is anything but confined and boring.

Oprah has also been known to organize many lavish parties like her birthdays here. Sophisticated, sumptuous and lets-just-doze-off-comfy, there is just no chance that any of Oprah’s guest would leave that soon. Well, it definitely serves certain purposes!! The grandeur does all the talking.
